Bible Museum
The Bible Museum is now open for individual and group tours. The current exhibit features Bibles from Emy-Lou Biedenharn's collection, and others acquired after her death. Included are a page from the Gutenberg Bible, the first book printed with movable type, pages from the 1611 King James Bible, and a 1608 Geneva Bible. The histories behind these Bibles and the people who translated or printed them are detailed in numerous exhibit labels.
Also on exhibit are more than 75 Russian Icons from the collection of Daniel Bibb, ranging in size from stunning almost life-size icons to postage stamp-sized traveling icons. Special topics covered in the exhibit include a pictorial "Life of Christ," "Saint Nicholas" and "Saint George and the Dragon." The Icons will be on display through December 31, 2010.
