Christmas Open House

December 6, 7, & 8 from 5-8pm,

Each year, the Monroe Garden Study League provides hundreds of hours decorating the historic Biedenharn Home. Special emphasis is given to Christmas trees, typically each room of the Biedenharn Home features a beautiful live tree and the Fountain Room may have 10 or more trees. The Gardens are decorated by members of the museum staff, who string thousands of lights throughout the
garden.

There is plenty of holiday action in the Coke Museum. Soda Jerks in the museum’s replica soda fountain tell the story of Joe Biedenharn and the first bottling of Coca-Cola. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos and to hear children’s Christmas present requests in the beside the Coke Museum’s Model-T Delivery truck. During Christmas at the Biedenharn, visits with Santa are free, and you are welcome to bring your camera or phone to take photos of your kids (or yourself) with Santa.

An annual highlight at the Biedenharn is the poinsettia tree in the conservatory. The “pot tree”, an iron structure which holds 64 plants to create a Christmas tree of poinsettias. Christmas plantings are on view throughout the garden. Free to the public.
