"Scripture through Many Eyes"

Calling local artists for our 2024 exhibit

The Biedenharn Museum and Gadens announces an opportunity for Northeast Louisiana Artists to participate in a unique exhibition, "Scripture through Many Eyes."

In July, the museum will match 35 artists with a Biblical story through a random drawing. We have 75 scriptural stories, including well-known incidents such as Noah's Ark, The Parting of the Red Sea, and the Last Supper, as well as lesser-known material such as Elisha and the Bear and Sampson and the Honey in the Lion's Carcass.

The drawing will occur on July 10, 2023 and artists will be notified of selection on July 12th. Each participant will have five and a half months to paint, sculpt, weld, or craft their interpretation of the scripture chosen for them.
