About the Event

Saturday, March 14 at 6pm, the Biedenharn Museum & Gardens will host a free Exhibit Pre-Opening Concert followed by a Reception.

This event will feature new sacred music by composer Clint Brown which accompanies Margaret Adams Parker's new Stations of the Cross paintings.

The Stations of the Cross exhibit features bronze sculpture by Gib Singleton with supporting artwork. Last year, contemporary artwork by Clarence Talley framed the sculptures. This year, Margaret Adams Parker's woodcuts (published in Praying the Stations of the Cross, from Eerdmans Press) will be featured, along with the new Stations paintings.

The Adam & Eve exhibit features illustrated bibles, artwork from private collectors and regional artists, works from museums in Pennsylvania and Texas, sculptures, books, and artifacts which all depict the story of Adam, Eve, Cain, & Abel.

Both exhibits will be open for viewing during a reception after the concert.

In addition to hearing the concert, seeing the new works of art, and the opportunity to see the new exhibits before the official opening March 19, there will be an opportunity to meet the painter, author, musicians, and composer.

This will be a contemplative event for the Lenten season as we prepare for Easter.
